Michelle Champion Murphy’s life history began with a singular passion for drawing at a very young age. Her work evolved to include nudes, portraits, pastels, etchings, and paintings with the current focus being on oversized oils and watercolors. She is an abstract expressionist colorist, whose brushes transmit her exuberance with the natural world surrounding her. Her canvases continue to be a reflection of her endless fascination with the beauty of life.
Michelle graduated from Marymount College with a degree in Fine Arts and continued to study through the years while raising her family in Michigan. She has attended and lead various classes and workshops at home and abroad. Michelle currently lives and works in Savannah, Georgia.
